THE BLACKHEART GANG (who’s conception is said to have been chorused by earthquakes, hailstorms and typhoons) are said to be so amazingly cool that, although they frequently lunch with Zulu princes, rockstars and sixlegged-fish creatures, they somehow still manage to remain completely oblivious to World as such. They busy themselves instead with a world of their own divising. This world is a monolith in oddity, the shroud of mystery itself… THE HOUSEHOLD. This life long project is said by some to be “stranger than fiction”, although some scholars have even gone so far as to deem it “stranger than reality itself.”
The Household is a tale of such epic proportions, with all it’s sub plots and trilogies, that it is considered by us to be a life long project. Apart from that we intend to make a feature film, create coffee table books and host installations and exhibitions of our work.
So let us have a look at what The Blackheart Gang have kept themselves busy with up until now.
Ringo 2004
Ringo is the name of a music video project. My music video in fact! And it took a team of five creatives, nine months to complete. And it’s finished! And we’re all very proud of it. Its a two minute long animation, that will stun and amaze all, with it’s dazzling amount of detail and wacky style. The lead actor’s name is Ringo, and he’s late for a date.
The Tale of How 2006
Nine months of part time work gave birth to The Blackheart Gang’s acclaimed short film called, The Tale of How. The Tale of How is the second part of a trilogy of works called the Dodo Trilogy. It is to later be flanked by The Tale of Then and The Tale of When. The Dodo Trilogy, in turn, fits into a much greater work called, The Household.
The Tale of Then 2008
After the critical acclaim received by the gang’s short film, The Tale of How, the gang will now endevour to explore the story further by starting work on their next project The Tale of Then. The Tale of Then is a tragic love story with a difference, as it tells the tale of a hill who fell in love with a girl. If you would like to find out more about this project you can download and review the proposal pdf
The Dinner Party 2010
In 2010 the National Geographic Society commissioned the Blackheart Gang to replicate an event that they witnessed more than a hundred years ago which later proved to change the world as we know it.
The old house
The old Noble House
Curled in the belly of the earth
The earth - Father of the realm
Who wears mountains and oceans
as armor and feeds his children
Rivers from his mouth. The old House
The old noble home
Alive in its eggshell of water and stone
water from inside the stone

A river of paper boats
A river of paper boats
A river of balls
A river of pins
A river of yellow leaves
The roar of the inky black
storm drain
Water down the plug hole
Is the blood that beats the heart of the Noble house
FAR FAR BELOW
The wheel is the clock
The clock turns the sun
The sun is in love with the moon
but they may never meet
opposing sides of the same water wheel
A parity for we may never
reach the house:
Its like a forest at night
This riddle of pipes
The Gateway
Between here and there
The pipes are full of water
The waters filled with sound
And you can hear them
Working miles underground.
